Driving west on the 453 around Lake Shikotsu from New Chitose Airport to SHIGUCHI takes about two hours, or follow the road up past Sapporo and along the north coast, via the town of Otaru, a popular stopover renowned for its fresh seafood, excellent sake and glassworks.
Please note that some roads are closed in winter.
SHIGUCHI has on-site and valet parking.
Car rental: Toyota Rentals have branches at the airport, and in Niseko, and convenient online booking is available in English.
SHIGUCHI is in Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan, about two hours’ drive due west of New Chitose Airport. There are flights every half hour from Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports, as well as frequent direct international flights.

There are several trains a day from Sapporo and New Chitose Airport to Kutchan, which is the closest town to the Niseko ski resort, and 15 minutes’ drive to SHIGUCHI.
Please request your complimentary check-in and check-out transfers at Kutchan station. The Hokkaido Railway Company provides online train timetables and bookings in English.

Airport transfer: by bus
There is a bus service from the airport to Hirafu Village, Niseko. The journey takes about three hours, and costs about JPY 4,500.
